Sydney, Australia.

Living abroad is not that bad at all. I guess the whole adapting issues were the things that make it tougher at the very beginning but I thank Allah that slowly I am starting to see the reason why. Yes, everything happens for a reason. Alhamdulillah. In fact, I am starting to develop a sense of belonging here. Well, not yet to the extend of wanting to live here for the rest of my life, but it can be considered.

Alhamdulillah, I am now in my second year. Time flies so fast, isn't it? Masha'Allah. I can't believe that a year has gone by. It seems like yesterday I came here with nothing but my suitcases. Who knows maybe a year from now I could be writing about how I don't want to leave Australia for good. But insha'Allah, if Allah wills it, next year will be my final year. This year, I had a chance to travel to Sydney with my friends. Last year, the farthest place I went to was Gold Coast. I haven't had the chance to visit Melbourne nor New Zealand. I will try to make it next year, insha'Allah. Apart from visiting Sydney, my friends and I also went to Wollongong which is the most beautiful place I have been to! I was fascinated with the beauty of Wollongong. Breathtaking indeed. I would like to visit that place again someday, insha'Allah. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to take pictures of the city. We also went to visit Sea Cliff Bridge which is remarkably beautiful! Subhanallah. Anyway, I will let the pictures do the talking.

Back from holiday

Hello there.

I am not feeling very well these days. The weather here in Australia keeps changing. At times you will find it sunny and windy, the next thing you know it's raining. I was putting on my knit sweater the other day. Judging by the weather, I was really confident that it will rain the whole day. Unfortunately I was wrong and I had to wear my sweater the whole day long. Ever since that day, I keep on doubting the weather and avoiding myself from wearing knit wear. So I came back to Australia last month after spending a very long and joyful holiday in Malaysia. I spent most of my time baking for family, beloved and friends. There is something about baking that makes me feel happy and satisfied, and I guess nothing can beat the feeling of excitement seeing your loved ones eating and enjoying your cooking. I have also begun to develop love towards decorations. I just love anything that has something to do with roses, butterflies and lovely pastel colours. Living overseas is an advantage for me. It is easier to find those kinds of things here. Not to mention that I have invested a lot on roses-printed bedsheet, pillow cases, bedspread and frame just to decorate my room. Living in a shared house, it is normal to have new housemates every year, each semester. So this year, I have three new housemates who came from Europe. Alhamdulillah they are all friendly. If Allah wills, I will try to update my blog as often as I could. Until then.
